Portsmouth Dreadnoughts vs Hastings Conquerors MVPs

A record setting performance for the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts Senior Team on Sunday produced several deserving MVPs.

Team MVP went to Receiver Jake Smith. After an unbelievable performance at the weekend, Smith now holds the Dreadnoughts record for Touchdowns in a Single Game, with 5 scores against the Conquerors.

Offensive MVP was awarded to Center Neil Gibbs. Frequently leading the way for big runs, Gibbs had a strong game up front.

The Defensive MVP was Safety Joe Clulow. With one interception and nearly a handful more, Clulow was ever-active against the pass and was strong when running with ball in hand.

Special Teams MVP was given to the trio responsible for the Dreadnoughts connecting on every attempted field goal. Snapper Toby Doyle, Holder Tom Usai and Kicker George Evans were automatic once the offense got into scoring position.

Play of the Game was selected as QB Jason Parker’s QB sneak at the end of the second quarter. The play all but sealed the game for the Dreadnoughts, giving the team a 34-6 lead as they went into halftime.
